IVO

When you think about IVO, you can think about rebellion, about transgressing the rules, impossible mixes and also about pieces that can last forever in your wardrobe. IVO was born in 2011, he decided to participate in KLDSCP in his second edition on March 2011, I remember we started this road together, to see what we were capable of and then he ended up being the most successful collection from the event that year.

 Later on, in November 2011, he was ready to present his second collection, using lamé and lurex way before Lanvin set it as a trend, he mixed fur with leather, twill and feathers, chiffon and lamé, another great hit for him; this collection was supposed to be for the Holiday Season on that year, the mood of the collection changed from the guy that didn't fit in the society's canon to the guy who established his own rules and now he is being a rockstar, the IT guy, the guy who was in everybody's lips,  and so he was.

Then another KLDSCP was on its way, and in 2012 he was ready to steal the show again, he created a world where stripes could mix with flowers, where chickens where saints, everything was a sarcastic game and he managed to make a cool collection out of his thoughts, he managed to make floral prints look so masculine, he made us want to use overalls again!, that was the IVO factor.

For his second Holiday collection presented in the second edition of SVFW (El Salvador Fashion Week) he presented a more mature collection, because again he was maturing with time, it was a collection inspired in Kill Bill, in Russian Pragmatism and in the basics of life with a twist. This was his last collection before he decided to focus on personal projects.

Ivo is a designer, a person, a genius, a great mind, and entrepreneur but above all, he is my best friend, I can really tell you that he will and he is making changes in the fashion scene in El Salvador. Personally, I've been following his steps every collection he has done; you cannot imagine how his eyes shone when he was finishing each piece of the collection, you can feel his joy, his personal success, you can feel what he felt, but he would not say a word, you just knew he was excited at what he was doing.
