Boutique Francesca Miranda
This last Saturday, the salvadoran designer who lives in Colombia, Francesca Miranda, invited us to the conference in which she was going to talk about one of the strongest trends out there: the Color Block and it was also a perfect event to showcase the newest collection that she was presenting
La nueva colección incluye colores bastante saturados, al igual que diversos prints que son perfectamente combinables con cada una de las piezas presentadas
This collection included bold colors and different prints that we can perfectly match with every piece of the collection.
There was also the collection from the last fall, which included a lot of neutral colors but different textures that make the clothes special and very wearable, there were textures such as embroidered threads, metallic sequins, transparencies, and a lot of light weight fabrics, that made us think that the collection was intended for summer but in our area fall and winter mean rainy days and not a very cold weather, so the thickness of the clothes are ideal
There was also a space for us, the menswear line of Francesca is a little bit conservative and that's because of the regular Salvadoran gentlemen who (I think) is somehow affraid of wearing something that is not considered as a canon, the collection was mostly in pastels, and included trousers and toile shirts with embroidered thread on one of the sides.
The collection was very good and I hope that more and more Salvadoran designers come up with designs that are into the ready to wear concept and not just night gowns and "for special events" clothes, but first we need to teach our civilians about what is this concept, and how to implement this to the everyday life, but this is something I will be talking with you later ;)
